Processing foils with electron beams gives them special technical properties, making them more durable and efficient in various other applications.
Extremely durable: Electron treatment improves the material properties of the foils, the polymers crosslink almost completely with each other. This increases the tear and impact resilience as well as the temperature resistance. This makes EBC-treated foils perfect for packaging applications.
Especially health-friendly: electron beam treatment effectively eliminates almost all unwanted microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. The foils also become significantly more resistant to migration, meaning that no substances can migrate out of or into the surface. This process makes the films suitable for the food packaging industry and technical applications.
Sustainable and efficient: Our process is not only efficient, but also consumes hardly any energy. In addition, no further additives are required.

Curing process
The films are supplied on rolls in the desired width and thickness and treated in our EBC system using a special electron beam technology. Treatment with electron beams increases the cross-linking density of the film and thus improves the technical properties of the material. The film is now ready for further processing.
